Boson Biotech's rapid strep test is used for the qualitative assessment of strep A antigen from a throat smear.
Package Contents:
1 rapid test cassette
1 vial with reagent A
1 vial with reagent B
1 sterile swab
1 extraction tube
1 tube stand (back of box)
Procedure:
Add 5 drops of Reagent A and 5 drops of Reagent B together to the extraction tube. Place the smear swab in the tube and mix. Remove the swab trying to leave as much sample as possible in the 2-reagent tube. Add 3 drops of sample to the cassette and wait 8 minutes to read the results. If two colored bands are visible (C & T positions) the test result is positive and valid. If a colored band appears (position C) then the test result is negative and valid. Finally, if one band (T position) or no band appears then the result is invalid and the test should be repeated with a new test device.
