24 ways to use Hydrogen Peroxide

Did you know that Hydrogen peroxide is the only germicidal substance made up of only water and oxygen? Hydrogen peroxide or commonly oxygene is one of the most common household disinfectants in the world. However, it is much more useful than most of us think. Read below for 24 possible uses:

  1. Disinfect small wounds
    Oxygene is a natural antiseptic so one of its most common uses is to clean wounds to prevent infection.
  2. Highlight your hair color
    In order to achieve naturally lightened hair from the sun, simply spray it on damp hair and let it soak in for 10 – 15 minutes before rinsing.
  3. Toothpaste for teeth whitening
    Mix baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to make a homemade toothpaste that you use for a short time (up to 5 days) to remove stains from your teeth.
  4. Antiseptic for the mouth
    Use a cap full of oxygene to rinse your mouth, whiten your teeth and kill germs that cause bad breath.
  5. Disinfect toothbrushes
    Dip toothbrushes in oxygene to kill staph bacteria and other germs commonly found in the bathroom.
  6. Whiten your nails
    Dip the tips of your fingers and toes to naturally whiten your nails.
  7. Get rid of acne
    Use it to wash your face and kill acne-causing bacteria to help clear your skin.
  8. Heal the boils on the skin
    Pour half a bottle (about 230ml) into warm water and soak the spot to heal the boil.
  9. Treat foot calluses
    Mix equal amounts of baking soda and warm water to moisturize your feet and naturally soften calluses.
  10. Remove the wax from your ears
    Put a few drops in your ears for 1-2 minutes and then put 1-2 drops of olive oil. Wait for 1 minute and drain the fluid from your ears to remove the wax.
  11. Get relief from otitis
    Put 6-8 drops in each ear to relieve symptoms and treat infection.
  12. Get rid of subcutaneous parasites
    Apply it to the skin affected by mites or other pests to eliminate them naturally.
  13. Treat toenail fungus
    Put equal parts of oxygen and water in a dark spray bottle (exposure to light weakens it) and apply it every night to the area of skin affected by fungus to stop its growth
  14. Clean the tile surfaces
    Spray it directly onto the tiles to remove dirt and stains.
  15. Whiten the grout
    Mix it with white flour to make a thick mixture. Spread it on the grout and cover it with plastic wrap overnight. Just rinse with water the next day.
  16. Clean the toilet bowl
    Pour about half a cup of hydrogen peroxide into the toilet bowl and let it soak for at least 30 minutes to clean and remove stains.
  17. Remove the dirt from the tub
    Spray it on soap scum, dirt and stains in the tub. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes and then rinse off to soften the dirt and make cleaning easier.
  18. Wash fruits & vegetables
    Spray fruits and vegetables with hydrogen peroxide and let them soak for 1-2 minutes before rinsing with clean water to remove dirt, wax and other contaminants.
  19. Bleaching clothes
    Pour about a cup of hydrogen peroxide into the wash water and leave the fabrics for 15-30 minutes to lighten dark or yellowed whites.
  20. Remove organic stains
    Mix 2 parts oxygene to 1 part dishwashing detergent and apply to organic stains (coffee, wine, blood, sweat, etc.) to remove them
  21. Refresh moldy fabrics
    Mix hydrogen peroxide with white vinegar and soak moldy fabrics to remove unwanted odors.
  22. Clean carpets & rugs
    Spray it on light-colored carpets and rugs to remove stains from mud, food, etc. But remember that it bleaches some fabrics. It may be best to try this technique on an small area first
  23. Clean the dehumidifiers
    Add 470ml of oxygene to 4 liters of water and run the solution through the dehumidifiers to disinfect and remove any mold that may be inside them
  24. Improve seed germination
    Soak the seeds in oxygene to remove fungal spores and increase the chances of germination.

 

Precautions:

Always be cautious as the liquid in large quantities as well as its vapors can cause skin and lung burns. Also, be especially cautious not to swallow it when it comes to oral use. Ingesting can be harmful to your health and cause dizziness, nausea, vomiting and (in large enough quantities) even death. Hydrogen peroxide is only suitable for external use!
