What does a first aid kit include?

Workplace safety is a very important and often neglected topic. Companies and organizations should have at least one first aid kit to deal with minor injuries or even emergencies.

According to the government decision, which was published in the Government Gazette, the minimum required first aid materials that a pharmacy in a workplace must contain are:

Sanitary Material

Pharmaceutical Products

Gloves

Hand disinfection liquid

Sterile gauze

Gauze impregnated with antibiotic (Fucidic acid)

Cotton

Plastic wrap 0.08 meters wide

Self-adhesive sterile gauze

Elastic bandage 2.50x0.05 meters

Bandage 2.50x0.10 meters

Triangular bandage

Hemostatic bandage

Peroxide

Pure alcohol

Tongue depressor

Disposable plastic cups

Acetylsalicylic acid

Paracetamol

Antihistamine tablets

Cortisone tablets (prednisolone 4 mg)

Cortisone injection (methylprednisolone 125 mg)

Antacid tablets

Antispasmodic tablets

Antidiarrheal tablets − Loperamide

Eye wash solution

Antiseptic eye drops

Antihistamine ointment

Burn healing ointment

Normal saline 250 or 500 ml

Antiseptic solution (solution ext. use Povidone Iodine 10 %)
