It is used to hold in contact and bring together soft tissues, even in cardiovascular, neurological and ophthalmological procedures.
Application initially causes a small inflammatory tissue reaction, a characteristic foreign body reaction followed by gradual formation of a connective tissue capsule around the suture.
POLYESTER sutures are not absorbed and do not lose their strength due to hydrolysis in vivo.
